PREDICT EFFECTIVELY THROUGH SHODASHOTTARY DASHA. EXPLAINED LUCIDLY IN THE EASIEST POSSIBLE MANNER.

PREFACE

The horoscope of Mr. Bill Clinton can also be analyzed through the Shodashottary Dasha, a conditional Dasha unlike the Vimshottary Dasha or Chara Dasha, which apply to all horoscopes without any condition.

THE BENEFIT OF USING CONDITIONAL DASHAS INCLUDING THE SHODASHOTTARY DASHA IS THAT THEY PIN-POINTEDLY SHOW THE EVENTS TO TAKE PLACE DURING A CONDITIONAL MAHADASHA AND ANTARDASHA WHEN THE CONDITIONS ARE MET MAKING THE PREDICTIONS EASY. However, the astrologers must be well-acquainted with all the Dashas and have experience using various types of Dashas to enable them to apply these Dashas in their predictive applications, where applicable.

Maharishi Parashara in his Brihat Parashara Hora Shashtra (BPHS) mentioned 35 types of Mahadashas. Had not these been useful, he would not have listed the same in the BPHS, which forms the backbone of Hindu Astrology. In justification of the use of conditional Mahadashas, we can compare unconditional Dashas with general medicines and conditional Dashas with special medicines, which need to be administered in special cases for better results.

In the era of computers, we can also avoid cumbersome astrological calculations to find out Mahadashas, Antardashas, etc. under any system of predictive astrology which are done by the astrological software provided the astrological software put into use is reliable. Though the astrological software has made the calculation part easy, astrologers must be thorough both in calculation and predictive parts to enable them to easily detect if there is any misleading/incorrect information generated by the astrological software in the calculations due to glitches or any other reason. To my knowledge, PARASHARA LIGHT and JAGANNATHA HORA are the two reliable astrological software (except in the case of Kalachakra Dasha) depending on the Ayanamsa chosen for calculations. I use True Lahiri Ayanamsa for astrological calculations.

ABOUT SHODASHTARRY DASHA

• The full cycle of the SHODASHOTTARY DASHA is 116 years divided into 8 Mahadashas and Antardashas, Pratyantar Dashas, etc. proportionate to the years of the Mahadashas. Rahu Mahadasha is not included but Ketu Mahadasha is included in the scheme of the Dasha pattern of the Shodashottary Dasha as formulated by HIS HOLINESS Shree Shree Maharishi Parashara. It is a Nakshatra-based Dasha according to the degrees of the natal Moon.

CONDITIONS: (Please read attentively)

I. BIRTH ASCENDANTS IN THE ODD SIGNS (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius & Aquarius)

1. Birth ascendant is between 0 & 15 degrees and the Moon is in the waxing phase. The natal Moon is in the waxing phase when the degrees of the natal Moon are above the degrees of the natal Sun when in the same sign/rashi, and as long as within seven Rashis from the natal Sun. When in the 7th sign from the natal Sun, the degrees of the natal Moon should be below or equal to the degrees of the natal Sun in dd-mm-ss format but not exceeding the degrees of the natal Sun. In other words, the natal Moon is in the waxing phase immediately after the Lunar Dark Night (from Shukla Pratipada) until the Lunar Full Night (Poornima). For example, in a horoscope, the natal Sun is in 15 degrees - 15 minutes - 15 seconds (dd-mm-ss format) Capricorn, and the natal Moon is 15 degrees - 15 minutes - 16 seconds Capricorn i.e. one second ahead of the degrees of the natal Sun, the natal Moon will in the waxing phase till 15 degrees - 15 minutes - 15 seconds Cancer. Shukla Pratipada commencing the Waxing Phase of the Moon will start in the example case when the Moon will be in 15d-15m-16s and will continue to be in the waxing phase until 15d-15m-15s Cancer and will usher into the waning phase at the 15d-15m-16s onwards marking the beginning of the Krishna Pratipada.
2. The birth ascendant is between 15 and 30 degrees, and the natal Moon is in the waning phase. The natal Moon is in the waning phase when the natal Moon is in the 7th house from the natal Sun and the degrees of the natal Moon are above the degrees of the Natal Sun until its confluence (संगम) with the Natal Sun in the same sign and below or equal to the degrees of the natal Sun. In other words, the Moon is in the waning phase immediately after the Lunar Full Night with the commencement of the Krishna Pratipada until Lunar Dark Night (Amavashya).

II. BIRTH ASCENDANTS IN THE EVEN SIGNS (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn & Pisces)

1. Birth ascendant is between 0 and 15 degrees and the natal Moon is in the waning phase.
2. Birth ascendant is between 15 and 30 degrees and the natal Moon is in the waxing phase.

In the Shodashattary Mahadasha scheme, the starting Nakshatra is PUSHYA (mark it as Nakshatra number 1), and counting the remaining Nakshatras serially in the direct order from PUSHYA Nakshatra, the 27th Nakshatra will be PUNARVASU Nakshatra. The balance of Mahadasha is calculated based on the serial number of the Nakshatra occupied by the Moon from Pushya by dividing by 8 (Refer TAble - A above) and according to the degrees of the Moon.
