AN ASTROLOGICAL INSIGHT INTO THE INDEPENDENCE DAY HOROSCOPE OF INDIA

INDEPENDENCE DAY HOROSCOPE OF INDIA

India attained independence on the midnight of August 15, 1947 (English weekday Friday - Hindu weekday Thursday). The Panchang/almanac details are as follows:

Tithi = Krishna Chaturdashi, a Rikta Tithi (inauspicious), and the Moon were weak in the Paksha Bala (Lunar Phase).

Nakshatra = Pushya, a Maha Nakshatra

Yoga at birth = Siddhi (auspicious)

Karana at birth = Visthi (inauspicious)

Hindu Week Day = Thursday/August 14, 1947 (A Hindu calendar day commences at the local sunrise and concludes the next day’s local sunrise and follows the topocentric coordinates for recording the accurate sunrise of a locality).

English Weekday = Friday /August 15, 1947 (English calendar day starts at the midnight).

ASTROLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF ELECTING THE MIDNIGHT OF AUGUST 15, 1947

When the English rulers were adamant about granting Independence to India on 15 August 1947, according to Shri K.N. Rao, an iconic astrologer, Hardeo Sharma Trivedi, a contemporary famous astrologer, and Publisher of Shri Vishwa Viyay Panchang and Surya Narain Vyas of Ujjain told Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who later became the first President of India that it was not an auspicious day with 5 planets crowding the Cancer. When it became necessary to stick to 15th August, Shri Hardeo Sharma Trivedi had chosen midnight of 15th August for three reasons:

1. Moon would have entered Pushya Nakshatra, a Maha Nakshatra, ruled by Saturn and the ascendant would be in the Fixed Sign Taurus, and the country would get the Mahadasha of Saturn, a Yoga Karka planet to enable the country to stabilize during its teething period after independence.

2. The middays and midnights are always auspicious and praised as Abhijit Muhurta. For example sake only, Gyani Zail Singh with an ordinary horoscope could become the President of India because he was born in Abhijit Muhurta, such is the auspiciousness of Abhijit Muhurta.

Pakistan, which did not believe in astrology took independence a day prior in a Movable Lagna and the consequences are in front of us. It has already been divided into two parts with a shabby economic condition (a beggar-like description).

An afflicted 7th house and the 7th lord indicate wars or war-like situations like skirmishes in the borders in mundane astrology.

Affliction to the Lagna & the Lagna Lord and luminaries indicate enigmatic periods.

In the Indian Independence Day horoscope, the 7th house is afflicted by Ketu, and Rahu afflicts the Lagna. However, the 7th lord Mars is not afflicted and aspected by Jupiter, which is a saving grace and India has never faced defeats in the wars and conflicts in the borders. The aspect of Jupiter is compared with sprinkling of Ganga Jal (sacred water of Holy Ganges) and Jupiter has been aspecting Mars, the 7th lord of war and the 12 lord of losses in the Indian Independence horoscope.

The Sino-India war broke out on 20th October 1962 - during the Saturn - Rahu - Moon period and ended on 21st November 1962 after 15 years of Independence. Let us examine the Solar Return chart of India for the 15th year (August 14, 1962 to August 14, 1963).

In the solar return chart of 1962 - 1963, the ascendant was Aquarius and the 7th lord of war/diplomacy was the Sun. Saturn, the Mahadasha Lord; Rahu, the Antardasha Lord; and the Moon, the Pratyantar Dasha Lord were connected to the Sun, the 7th lord of the Solar return chart of 1962–1963. On the day of the commencement of the war on October 20, 1962, it was Rahu - Sun Mudda Dasha. In the solar return chart, Rahu was conjoined to the 7th lord Sun. Now, a look at the Navamsha of the Solar Return Chart of 1962 - 1963.

In the Solar Return Navamsha, the Vimshottari Dasha MD & AD lords Saturn & Rahu and the Mudda Dasha MD lord Rahu were in 1/7 axis of war identical to the Independence Day birth horoscope of India.

TRANSIT CHART OF 20TH OCTOBER, 1962 (THE DAY ON WHICH THE SINO-INDIA WAR HAD BROKE OUT)

The Vimshottari Dasha MD & AD lords Saturn & Rahu and Mudda Dasha MD lord in transit were connected to the transit Mars, the 7th lord of war/diplomacy of the Independence Day horoscope of India signifying war and defusing the same through diplomacy due to Neechbhanga of Mars caused by transit Saturn, who is the Yoga Karaka of the Indian Independence Day birth horoscope. The war came to an end on November 21, 1962, during Jupiter - Venus Mudda Dasha coupled with the 4th house of peace of the Independence Day horoscope, the sign Leo when had come under the fully benefic transit influence of direct Jupiter and the Moon and the 4th lord Sun had left its house of debilitation thereby restoring the peace and normalcy.

The 7th House is the house of the public/masses/voters and the 4th House is the House of Parliament. The 2019 General elections were held during the Vimshottari Mahadasha - Antardasha of the Moon & Jupiter. The Moon benefits from the Raj Yogas formed by Saturn, Venus & the Sun. Jupiter is the 8th lord from the ascendant, the 2nd lord of wealth from the 7th house of masses - in the mundane parlance votes of the people, the 11th lord of gain from the ascendant, and the 5th lord of followers/following from the 7th house of masses. Antardasha Lord functions like an Executive in fulfilling the promises of the Mahadasha Lord. Jupiter, the Antardasha lord, is in an auspicious 4/10 relation in the ID birth horoscope of India, and in Navamsha 5/9 trine position from Saturn, which signifies the common people and all forms of democratic institutions including elections. Jupiter is also involved in Gajakeshari Yoga and a mutual 4/10 auspicious relation with the Moon, the Mahadasha lord, and in an auspicious 5/9 trine position with the 7th lord Mars representing Indian nationals. In Navamsha, the Mahadasha Lord Moon, and the Antardasha lord Jupiter are again in a mutual 4/10 auspicious position confirming the Gajakeshari Yoga and the Dasha promise to deliver something very good for the nation. In the general elections of 2019 because of the favorable Mahadasha & Antardasha, the people of India returned the BJP with a thumping majority, which enabled the BJP to make major decisions under the able stewardship of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and fulfilled the long-cherished wishes of the people through several constructive reformative measures, thus taking the country 100 years ahead within 5 years.

The 2024 general elections were held from April 19 to June 1, 2024, during the penultimate Antardasha of Venus in the Mahadasha of Moon. Venus is Lagna Lord but at the same time, it is Trik 6th lord also. It is also the sign dispositor of Rahu. In Navamsha, the Antardasha lord, Venus is in a mutual adverse 6/8 relation with the Moon, the Mahadasha Lord. The Antardasha Lord Venus with 22 degrees Cancer is in Paapkartari (between Saturn with 20 degrees Cancer & Sun with 28 degrees Cancer) in the Rashi chart and also in squeezing/arresting Paapkartari in Navamsha with Rahu on one side and Mars on the other side. As a sequel, no single party could able to obtain the required majority to singly form the Government.

The Vimshottari Mahadasha of the Moon will be succeeded by Mars Mahadasha in 2025, the next year.
