Jaimini Navamsha Dasha (D9) Explained: The 144-Year Secret System for Accurate Prediction of Marriage, Career & Political Power

HOW TO DECODE JAIMINI NAVAMSHA DASHA FOR MAJOR EVENTS.

Most astrologers rely solely on Vimshottari, but Sage Jaimini hid a more precise predictive tool within the D9 chart. Today, we are decoding the Jaimini Navamsha Dasha—a 144-year system that reveals the exact timing of life’s biggest milestones, from marriage to reaching the heights of political power.

Sage Jaimini mentions the Navamsha Dasha in the Jaimini Shastra. There are two versions of Navamsha Dasha. Today, we shall discuss on the first version.

Jaimini Navamsha Dasha is seen in the Navamsha (D9) chart. The following are the salient points to remember:

1. Navamsha Dasha starts from the Navamsha Lagna if the D9 Lagna is the odd sign.
2. Navamsha Dasha starts from the 7^th house of the D9 if the D9 Lagna is the even sign.
3. The Dasha sequence is always direct, like Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and so on.
4. The maximum period of a particular Navamsha Dasha is 12 years, with an elasticity up to a maximum of 144 years, more than the Vimshottari Dasha of 120 years.
5. If the Dasha Rashi is an odd sign, count in direct order from the Dasha Rashi up to its lord, giving one year to each Rashi. For example, Aries is an odd sign, and its ruler is Mars, who is in Leo. Counting in direct order from Aries to Leo, we get 5 signs. So, the Aries Navamsha Dasha period will be of 5 years in the example case.
6. If the Dasha Rashi is in an even sign, count in indirect order from the Dasha Rashi up to its lord, giving one year to each Rashi. For example, Taurus is an even sign, and its ruler is Venus, who is in Sagittarius. Counting in indirect order from Taurus to Sagittarius, we get 6 zodiac signs. So, the Taurus Navamsha Dasha period will be of 6 years in the example case. 
7. Allots the full Dasha period of 12 years when the Rashi Lord is in its own Rashi.
8. First Antardasha in a Navamsha Dasha will be of the Mahadasha Rashi itself, like that of Vimshottari Mahadasha-Antardasha.
1. Each Antardasha is of 1/12 part of the Mahadasha tenure. For example, in a horoscope, Scorpio Navamsha Rashi Mahadasha is of 4 years, which comes to 48 months (12 x 4). As such, each Antardasha in the Scorpio Mahadasha of a total period of 4 years will be of 4 months, starting with the Scorpio Antardasha of 4 months, followed by the Sagittarius Antardasha of another 4 months and so on in the example case.

Let us now apply the above golden rules in a horoscope for predicting the time of events.

NAVAMSHA (D9) OF SMT. INDIRA GANDHI, a former Prime Minister of India, with Saturn as the AK, Venus as the AmK, Mars BK, Jupiter MK, Mercury PK, Moon GK, Sun DK.

Smt. Indira Gandhi was married on 26 March 1942 during her Scorpio-Sagittarius Navamsha Dasha-Antardasha with Sun as the DK, marriage-giver.

The DK Sun is with Mars, who is the ruler of Scorpio.  The 7^th house from Scorpio is Taurus with Venus as the ruler. Venus is in Libra, and the DK Sun is in Leo and has been aspecting Venus.

From Antardasha Rashi Sagittarius, the 7^th house is Gemini, and Mercury is the ruler. DK Sun has been aspecting Mercury in Libra.

She became the Prime Minister for the first time on 24 January 1966 during her Aquarius-Aries.

Aquarius is aspected by the AmK Venus from Libra. The lord of the Aries is Mars, who is in Leo and is being aspected by AmK Venus from Libra.

She again became the Prime Minister on 14 January 1980 during her Pisces – Cancer.

Pisces is lorded by Jupiter, who is in the fixed sign Taurus and is being aspected by the AmK Venus from the movable sign Libra.

The Moon rules Cancer in the fixed sign of Aquarius and is aspected by AmK Venus from the movable sign Libra.

This is the way Jaimini Navamsha Dasha must be analysed for the prediction of events.
